You’ve already learned how to build a three-dimensional panel in a building. In this post, you will learn how to create a similar panel, which spreads all the light and creates beautiful shadows. This lightbox is made of carton and is completed with an LED strip

The layers of the image inside the lightbox display fit together to create more natural shadows. These shadows make it clear and close to the objects, and the lightbox is more natural.

You can use any layout design. You just have to be able to put the layers in the correct order in the frame. In this tutorial, we use the Christmas design to build a lightbox.

Step One: Tools Required
Printing paper – the number of layers of the board
White paper – the number of layers of the board
Carton
Cutter and X-acto knife
White glue
Pencil
ruler
Printer
LED strip with power supply
Step Two: Build the panel layout

After selecting the landscape layout of the lightbox, you must find the blueprint of the landscape component and create the landscape layers with Adobe Photoshop. The lightbox you see in the images has four layers, the last layer of the reflection effect in the water (that is, the reverse).

One of the most important points in this design is to make sure there are no floating objects in the design. All components of the design must be connected to a part of the landscape. If you look at the above pictures, you will see that nothing is completely floating and connected from one part to another.
To fit the layout components, add a fixed-size frame to all four layers.

Make layers overlay the layout and make sure their composition is not difficult. When you lay the layers together, you should see all the details and do not hide anything. For ease of use, you can use a different color for each layer when creating layers.

When you complete the layers, print them individually, then drag them onto white paper. To do this, paste the printed pattern onto the window and place it on the white paper. Now the lines are completely clear and you can drag them.

Step 3: Take the layers
As you can see in the pictures, the third layer of our landscape is a simple rectangle. The reason is that we want the bottom half of the landscape to have a reflection effect in the water. To create this effect, we put a third or rectangular layer behind the lake and let it invert the front of the layer. The remaining piece of paper in the third layer hides the reflection of the reverse layer, but when the light of this layer is lit. It also prevents the back layer from getting too high and destroying the landscape. Because the upper half of the third layer is also cut out, we want to see the moon full of brightness.

Step Four: Fill the layers
Now you have to take a few cartons to fit between the layers and filter the light. Take several separate cartons to the length of the sides of the box layers and the width of the frame. It is better to consider the width of the frame a bit thinner than the frame of the layers. In this way, the carton layers are less visible from the edge of the lightbox.

After cutting the carton layers, put the first carton in front of the first layer. Then paste the second layer so that it fits in front of the cardboard frame. Paste another cardboard frame behind the second layer and repeat these steps so that the fourth layer is glued together.

Step Five: Make the box
Now you have to find a suitable box to protect the lightbox layers. You can use ready-made frames, but in order to reduce the cost, it’s best to make a simple box with your carton.

To make a carton box, take four equal-sized cartons. The width of these strips should be a few millimeters thick, because you need a little space for the LED strip.
The length of the two strips should be as small as the edge of the layers + the thickness of the carton, as long as the length of the layers + the thickness of the carton and the length of the other two.

Draw the size of the cartons with a ruler on the carton and cut them with a cutter. After cutting all four stripes, you can paste them in the way you see in the above pictures. By cutting off the corrugated box, the box looks better and cleaner.

Step Six: Frame the back of the frame
To make the back of the frame, make a rectangular piece of paper that fits perfectly into the box you made in the previous step. Cover this sheet with white paint or cover it with white paper.
Finally, you have to take a frame for the box. Take a frame of the size of the box onto the carton and take it. If you do not use white carton, paint the frame.

Adhere to the inner wall of the box and paste the layers in it. Press the layers to reach where you are. The last layer is better off than the front of the box.
Take a small cut back box to disconnect the LED strip cable. Finally, put the frame you took in the previous step onto the box to complete it.

Measure out the box from the inside and take an LED strip of this size. Then start the box near the cut and place the LED strip inside the box.
Then connect the LED strip to the power supply with an adapter or solder.

Now take the back plate back to the box
